Co-Directors of Louis Stone (Optical), Judith and Paul Gaba announce their retirement after running the successful spectacle frame, case and optical instrument distributor, for the last 42 years!
Established since 1950, Louis Stone began as a modest spectacle company which the Co-Directors built up to be a thriving international distributor of spectacles, cases and instruments to opticians, optometrists, hospitals and universities across the world. The last yearly quarter especially, saw unprecedented sales in spectacles and instruments.
This Cardiff-based, family-led business (husband and wife, Judith and Paul, and daughter Clare (Head of Marketing and Communications)), was a major distributor for Oculus, Volk and Ishihara.
Daughter Clare (who joined the business in 2016), created and grew Louis Stone’s Instagram following to 17,000, with regular orders coming through. They now have the most followers of any distributor in the UK. She also won them the LuxLife 2019 Customer Service award and earned them a top 3 finalist spot in the Optician Awards 2018. She will continue her work as a freelance marketing consultant as well as a food and hospitality influencer on Instagram under the suitable name @welshclarebit (!).
Louis Stone will take final orders up until 5pm on Monday 11th December.
